Since 1960, many artists use new technologies, even before first personal computers, they explored graphic applications. Infography is the technology which uses computer to built a picture ; but a computer is an electronic device dedicated to perform computations ! Thus, the question is : how to use a computer for drawing , which are the relations between shape and number, between colour and number. |

A computer allows integration of complex rules, the digitization of geometrical figures and graphics, the manipulation of complex equations.Members of the teaching community, interested by digital images to have a pedagogical software of image analysis. Such softwares exist but one can blame them of hiding the mathematical process which transforms a picture. The author of HouCiel tried to address this criticism.This software was only designed in a pedagogical use. It does not aim to a real image treatement, but tries only to make understandable how images are handled. It is a production from the “Département de Mesures Physiques “ at IUT of Le Mans, within the framework of Sideal and F HOU. |
